We did fairly well with our tipping for Round 10 of the Toyota 2019 AFL Premiership competition. We had six right from eight guesses.
It would have been seven from nine, but for the brain fade that found us neglecting the game between the Dees and the Giants, a piece of low hanging fruit that is rotting on the ground rather than supplying us with nourishment.
This is our last week in the attempt for a nine-from-nine bet slip before the byes start, so here are our Round 11 guesses.
Please remember, we are playing fantasy footy here and no one should use our picks as the basis for his or her bets, as we would hate to be responsible for even one punter losing money. We use $100 as our stake for each game.
The North Melbourne side is playing the Richmond Tigers at Marvel Stadium, with Richmond favoured by 17.5.
We could make some wry comment here about the possibility that there will not be enough points scored in the entire game to account for the line, but we will back Richmond for a potential $135 dividend.
Collingwood is playing Fremantle at MCG. No comment necessary, this one is easy as pie and will pay us $117.
The Gold Coast Suns will be in Sydney to attempt climbing the beanstalk, but this should return $105 to us for backing GWS.
Thanks again AFL, for Geelong versus Sydney. In Cats we trust, especially when we seek the $116 we plan to pocket.
The Hawthorn Hawks will be in Brisbane for a sacrifice to the Lions. This is one of the Who Knows games of the round, but we will take the Lions for $165.
The traveling carnival for the week is the Adelaide Crows and the Melbourne Demons at TIO Stadium in Darwin. We will take the Crows for $167.
Port Adelaide over St. Kilda in China for $148.
Essendon over Carlton at The G for $145.
West Coast over Western Bulldogs at Optus seems like a lock for $122.
Thanks to the lads at Ladbrokes for the figures.
