Here are our guesses for the Anzac round of the Toyota 2019 AFL Premiership competition.
We are adding a new element, which is to calculate our winnings and losses based on a $100 wager per fixture. Obviously, for eight remaining games, if we get them all wrong we will lose $800, but we wanted to see what we could haul in, even if we did no better than the five from nine we tipped correctly in Round 5.
Sorry, we missed Richmond beating Melbourne, as we do have some who seem to think we should be otherwise occupied.
We are using online bookmaker Ladbrokes for our figures.
First up is Essendon versus Collingwood at The G. We take the Cats at $1.62 for a potential return of $162.
Port has the Roos at the Adelaide Oval. We take the home side to win for a possible $126.
The Queensland clubs are playing at Metricon. We are taking the Lions, even after what they did to us last week, in hopes of pocketing $145.
St. Kilda versus Adelaide at Marvel Stadium is a tough one. St. Kilda are narrow favourites, but we will back them based on Adelaide’s struggles in Melbourne and if we are right, we stand to make $185.
The NSW clubs are playing at SCG. We pick the Giants for a potential $145.
Fremantle is hosting Western Bulldogs. This is the don’t care game of the fixture, but we are perching on the limb and taking the Dogs to bring us $275.
Hawthorn and Carlton are taking the game to Tassie land. It is the Hawks we hope will bring us $133.
The concluder is West Coast visiting Geelong. This is the most interesting game of the round to us and we would love to take the Eagles for the possible $275, but prudence drives us to settle for the Cats and the $144.
Never place you wagers based on our guesses.
See you next week with the outcomes and our results.
