Kangaroos Four Nations Squad Revealed by Mal Meninga

Following the announcement of the New Zealand 24-man squad for the upcoming Four Nations, Mal Meninga has released the names of the Australian Kangaroos team.

Here are the names, along with the teams from which they were selected.

Cameron Smith (c) – Storm
Darius Boyd – Broncos
Aaron Woods – Wests Tigers
Sam Thaiday – Broncos
Johnathan Thurston – Cowboys
Matt Scott – Cowboys
Shannon Boyd – Raiders
Cooper Cronk – Storm
Boyd Cordner – Knights
Josh Dugan – Dragons
Josh Papalii – Raiders
Justin O’Neill – Cowboys
Blake Ferguson – Roosters
Jake Friend – Roosters
Matt Moylan – Panthers
Michael Morgan – Cowboys
Trent Merrin – Panthers
Tyson Frizell – Dragons
Matt Gillett – Broncos
David Klemmer – Bulldogs
Greg Inglis – Rabbitohs
Valentine Holmes – Sharks
Boyd Cordner – Knights
James Maloney – Sharks

Some big name veterans were overlooked, the biggest being Corey Parker and Paul Gallen.

Seven of the players will be making their Four Nations debut along with a core of veterans.

There seemed to be an embarrassment of riches at left wing, but Manour won out over Corey Oates and Semi Radradra, the latter not considered due to off-field issues. Controversial Andrew Fafita was also not considered, as NRL CEO Todd Greenberg explaining that selection to the prestigious Australian squad required prowess not only of the field of play, but also high personal scruples elsewhere.
