What Do You Mean Bieber4Hottest 100?

One day out from votes opening, the music gurus at Triple J may be asking “Is it too late now to say sorry?” after online bookmaker William Hill included Justin Bieber in their market for the 2015 edition of the Hottest 100.

Bieber has been blowing up the charts this year with hit after hit, but it’s his Grammy nominated collaboration with Diplo and Skrillex (Jack Ü) ‘Where Are Ü Now’ that forced the bookmaker to include odds of $81 of the Biebs taking out top spot in the annual Australian countdown after the song was played by the station on April 2nd of this year.

A confirmed starter having been played by the station, the boundary pushing bookmaker also took the liberty of including ‘What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry” at odds of $101 and $251 respectively.

“When voting opens tomorrow, there’ll be a lot of people asking ‘What do you mean’ I can vote for the Biebs?! It’ll be interesting to see how Triple J handle this one, this time around,” William Hill spokesman Tim Ashworth said.

“’Lean On’ by Major Lazer remains the clear favorite despite being slashed to $3 after a raft of three-figure bets at the $4 mark.

“Aussie’s Jarryd James ($6) & Chet Faker ($7) are flying the flag and seeing plenty of love, while Macklemore and Ryan Lewis return with another likeable track in ‘Downtown’, having taken out the number one spot as favourite back in 2012 for ‘Thrift Shop’.”

In another ironic twist of fate, Taylor Swift has the chance for glory again in 2015. This time via German band Milky Chance, whose Like a Version cover of ‘Shake It Off’ is a $51.00 shot according to WilliamHill.com.au’s latest odds.
